Park Accessibility Statement

Point of Ayr Holiday Park aims to provide you with a relaxing, memorable and above all pleasurable holiday experience. Therefore we have provided a detailed access statement for your convenience. And our friendly staff is on hand should you require any assistance.

  • 5mph Speed Limit

    We take the safety of our customers and their families very seriously, so there is a 5mph speed limit throughout the park with clearly defined speed bumps.
  • Access Road

    The access road to the site is tarmaced and flat with clearly defined speed bumps.
  • Main Site Road

    The main site road is tarmaced and flat without speed bumps.
  • Designated Car Park Areas

    The site has static pitches only with designated car park areas and easy access paths leading from these to every caravan. Please note parking on the grass along side the caravans is not permitted.
  • Parking & Turning Areas

    There is parking and turning areas next to all the facilities on the site.
  • Double Door

    There is double door access to the reception and pub, with a raised step at the doors to the pub.
  • Pool Ramp

    The pool has a slight raised ramp at the main entrance. There is no hoist device available however there are trained pool attendants available at all times for assistance getting in and out of the pool.
  • Easy Access Pool Facilities

    The pool also has open plan showers and large doors to the toilet blocks making it easily accessible to wheelchairs.
  • Assistance Dogs & Pet Dogs Welcome

    All assistance dogs and pet dogs are welcome on site, but we kindly ask that they be kept under control at all times and that you abide by the park rules of cleaning up after your dog.
  • All Mobile Networks Availble

    All mobile phone networks are available.
  • Wi-Fi Access

    There is wireless internet access available on site.
  • Transport

    Point of Ayr Holiday Park is situated in the village of Talacre and there are bus and taxi services available to and from the village.
  • Bus Service

    The bus service to and from the village at present runs every half an hour from May to September and 3 times a day from September to May.
  • Train Service

    The resort town of Prestatyn is situated 4 miles away along the coast road and there is a train station in the town for the mainland train service. Unfortunately at the moment Prestatyn railway station is not accessible to wheelchairs. The nearest station with wheelchair access is situated further along the coast road at Rhyl.
